The Happiest Room in the House

Oh this room. What was once a 12×12 place where all of our excess junk lived has somehow become the happiest corner of our little house. This room literally glows, and I just love the way it all came together.

I knew I wanted to keep things super simple for this little guy’s nursery. Nothing grand or fancy, no crazy “themes,” just lots of light, fun black and white patterns, and random pops of color.

I love the way this little gallery wall turned out! With the exception of the “Stay Wild My Child” sign  that I picked up at a craft fair, I snagged everything on sale at Hobby Lobby.

And my very favorite piece of the entire room, the book wall! I remember seeing this on Pinterest YEARS ago, and knew it was something I wanted to incorporate into the nursery, regardless of whether baby was a boy or girl. It was a breeze to set up (just a few Ikea Mosslanda picture ledges), and I just love the way it turned out.

I’m still working on sprucing up a few walls, and once we order the rocking chair it will sit next to the cube shelves by the window.

And that’s it! I know it will be just a matter of time before the entire house is overrun by toys and toddler chaos, so for now I wanted to keep things as simple as possible. I love love love this room, and I can’t wait for this little guy to arrive and make it complete!

LOVE&HUGS,

Nat
